Spring Haze Shot by Clara Peres
March 20, 2025
It was a bright spring morning in Paris with a bit of sun coming through my windows. Finally. Some sunshine to defrost from my cave. In this moment, I was feeling excited and a bit anxious as I always do before meeting up with a new photographer for the first time. I found Clara’s photography on Instagram after she was tagged in another fashion content creator that I follow. I was immediately drawn to her raw photography style. It was grainy, candid, organic, pensive, and ethereal all at once. So I sent her a DM asking if she’d be willing to shoot with me and as luck would have it, she agreed.
In all my years of modeling, mostly unprofessionally I might add, I always feel the most comfortable in front of a female photographer. They just get it. There’s no worries in the back of my head wondering if my level of constructed beauty might impact the results of the pictures. There’s no need to be sexy just to prove something. I can just be seen.
With this in mind, it was an absolute joy to shoot with Clara who was a naturally warm and authentic soul right from the get-go. She mainly shoots product photography with the occasional lifestyle/portrait shoot at her choosing. My look was inspired by the romanticism of a Parisian spring. I say romanticized because the weather in Paris is never predictable nor beautiful in itself on the daily; however, I figured my shirred vintage top, midi skirt, and vintage leather woven shoes I thrifted in LA would make for the perfect springtime muse.
Full album is also on view on my modeling portfolio.
